Wow, it’s been awhile since my last post! We branded our last bunch of calves at the ranch over Mother’s Day weekend, what a great feeling to be finished with that! Here’s a status update on some of this spring’s cast of characters.
Here’s my favorite Hereford bull calf, 17. He’s obviously really intimidated by the camera.
And here’s Eenie and her mom 989, of Eenie and Meenie fame. They were the twins (one tail-first, the other just backward) that the vet helped me pull while Dad was in the hospital. I’m glad to report that Meenie is still being happily raised by her grandmother.
And now, the pièce de résistance…Wally. His ears did indeed freeze right off, and took his tag along.
Looking good, buddy! Quite the bald spot you’ve got going on there.
It’s okay, frozen ears run in the family – right, Wanda?
This week is Bucking Horse Sale week in Miles City – looking forward to seeing lots of friends!
