Hello there! I’m Rachel Endecott, the Asphalt Cowgirl. I grew up on a family cow-calf operation in southwest Montana, then went to school at Montana State and New Mexico State. I’ve been the Extension Beef Cattle Specialist at Montana State University since November 2006. I spent 5 and a half years off campus in Miles City, then transferred to campus in Bozeman in 2012. It’s fun – and a bit surreal – to be on faculty at my alma mater! I travel the state and region, conducting educational programs about beef cattle for adults and youth, as well as teaching a class on campus and advising the Collegiate Stockgrowers at MSU and the Academic Quadrathlon team. A large amount of my spare time is spent at the ranch, and is featured here along with my other escapades from the road!
So welcome – and I hope you enjoy reading about my glamorous asphalt cowgirl life!
